Kia ora! I’m fighting discrimination with perspiration by taking part in Sweat with Pride this year. Yes this is actually a thing!
I've committed to exercising for at least 21 minutes EVERY DAY this June to raise money to support Rainbow Kiwis
That’s the minimum amount of activity we need for happy and healthy bodies and minds. It sounds easy, but currently 50% of Kiwis aren’t meeting this goal.
We get it – between sitting behind a desk all day, getting stuck in traffic for hours and binge-watching the latest season of Drag Race – it’s hard to find the time!
Sweat with pride can help. We’re challenging Kiwis to sweat for at least 21 minutes a day this June to get active and raise money to support our Rainbow communities. It’s an amazing way to improve your own health and wellbeing while raising money for an awesome cause – and of course, it’s lots of fun!
Walk, run, wheel, dance – how you sweat is up to you! So whether you’re 18 or 80, queer or an ally, can't be stopped or want to get started… we need your sweat!
The sweat bit I’ve got down no problem but the enthusiasm to do it everyday for June is where I need help.
This cause means a lot to me. I’d be SO GRATEFUL if you could chip in to help me reach my goal – anything you can give would be amazing and all donations are a poke in the pants to keep me moving Equally conversation and encouragement throughout the month will make a huge difference.
My goal is $637 because that is NES in numbers so seemed fitting. I have just reached that goal on the last day of May, so that is amazing.
Thank you sooooo much
Every dollar raised will go to the New Zealand AIDS Foundation and fund projects in partnership with RainbowYOUTH and OutLine to improve the mental and physical health of Aotearoa’s Rainbow communities.
Help me get my sweat on in June.
