We’re excited to announce a newly created leadership role—a unique opportunity for a dynamic, people-focused professional to help shape the future of our services. You’ll work closely with the Service and Development Manager and wider leadership team to drive innovation, ensure operational excellence, and lead our services into the future.
Key responsibilities include:
Contributing to strategic planning and business development
Overseeing day-to-day service operations
Building strong relationships with stakeholders and clients
Managing budgets and financial performance
Oversight of quality, risk, and health & safety initiatives
Supporting sustainable growth and community impact
Providing strong leadership through coaching, mentoring, and developing staff to reach their full potential
Communicating clearly and confidently across all levels—internally and externally—to inspire, influence, and align teams and stakeholders
Mou | About you
You’re a natural leader with a heart for community and a head for strategy. You bring a mix of empathy, innovation, and operational know-how—and you know how to bring people with you on the journey.
What we are looking for:
A tertiary qualification in health, human services, or social sciences
A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Reo Māori
Able to evidence leadership experience with a strong focus on staff development and team empowerment
Previous experience and understanding of working with people with disabilities and/or mental health conditions of at least two years
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage, motivate, and build trust across diverse audiences
Strong knowledge of H&S legislation, quality, and risk management
Excellent planning, time management, and problem-solving skills

We have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and organised person to join our team at Progress to Health. You will provide proactive and quality administrative support to the Service and Development Manager and the leadership team helping us keep things running smoothly so we can deliver meaningful outcomes for our community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll support our team with a variety of admin tasks, including:
Managing calendars and diaries
Welcoming visitors and handling enquiries
Organising meetings and events
Taking minutes
Providing general admin support to our service teams
This is a great opportunity to grow your admin career. You don’t need to have done everything before—if you’re keen to learn, we’ll support you every step of the way
Mōu | About you
What We’re Looking For:
A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Te Reo Māori
Proven experience in administration (a relevant qualification is a bonus!)
Excellent time management, planning, and communication skills
Confidence using Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
A passion for accurate, timely data entry—experience with health systems is a plus
A positive, can-do attitude and a great sense of humour
A full, clean driver’s license
Bonus Points For:
Experience with minute-taking, project work, or research
Familiarity with the health and disability sector
An interest in IT or marketing
