Consumer Advocates
Within Progress to Health we have Consumer Advocates available at each of our centres located in the Waikato area.
Our Consumer Advocates are responsible for providing individuals and groups with support.
They also...

- Welcome new people to the service/centres and ensure they are introduced to internal supports and resources
- Facilitate centre committee consumer meetings
- Are actively involved at all levels of advocacy
- Ensure standard nine of the Mental Health Standards are upheld within Progress to Health
- Participate in ongoing workforce development
- Establish strong links in the mental health sector and wider community
- Participate in the CAG (Consumer Advisory Group) Movement
