Vision

Aims
- Enable all people with experience of mental illness to gain equality and respect and to enjoy the same rights as others
- Change public and private sector policy to value and include all people with experience of mental illness
- Create greater understanding, acceptance and support for all people with experience of mental illness
Objectives
- To engage the leadership and participation of individuals and groups of people with experience of mental illness
- To engage supporters and allies as partners
- To advocate for non-discriminatory policies and practices
- Develop specific approaches for Maori
- Develop specific approaches for people from different cultures, ethnic groups and age groups
- Develop and strengthen infrastructure to improve cooperation and coordination to achieve the aims of the project.

Te Reo Irirangi o Raukawa or Raukawa F.M is the Iwi Radio Station based in Tokoroa and broadcasts on 90.6FM & 95.7FM. Another of our Like Minds Like Mine campaigners Noeline Kuru, who is joined by Radio Talk Back host Tim Pita, can be heard every Monday morning from 9.00-10am.

The national Like Minds Like Mine mental health campaign now has a local face. Community Radio Hamilton volunteer broadcaster Jacqualine Tauranga has a weekly radio show which aims to provide inspiration for those affected by mental illness through a mix of factual information and personal testimonies. She encourages guests to share their own stories through word, poetry and song.
