The Community Worker team advocate and support people who have or have had experience of mental ill health. The community worker team, alongside other agencies, work within the community to promote community participation for consumers, based on their needs and requirements.
Progress to Health is committed and supports the principles of recovery and anti-discrimination of people associated with mental illness. The community worker team is there to walk beside consumers and assist them to move forward and create better and brighter futures for themselves and their whanau.
We endeavour to deliver services that best meet the needs of our clients by ensuring plans are indvidually tailored.

Entry criteria
"The person seeking to enter this service must be able to provide evidence that they experience or have experienced mental illness and/or has used a mental health service."
Referral process
Referrals to Progress to Health can be made by self, whanau or community organisation, hospital or other service provider.
Confidentiality and consent
In accordance with the Privacy Act 1993, our service assures you of your confidentiality. We will only talk to other people with your consent; or if we have any concerns for your safety in a crisis situation.
This will be explained to you as part of your orientation to the service and you will be asked to give your consent to sharing information.
