Board Vacancies

Progress to Health is a leading provider in community-based health and disability support services.  It is an expanding and dynamic charity.  Based in Hamilton, but currently serving the Waikato, Taranaki and Taupo regions, we employ around 30 staff and our annual turnover is approximately $1.5million.

we wish to recruit two members to join our governing body – the board of trustees

We need people who can help direct Progress to Health towards achieving its ultimate aim of creating communities without barriers.  You need to be able to make a commitment to Progress to Health and devote the necessary time, have strategic vision, independent judgement, an ability to think creatively and a willingness to speak your mind.  Ideally the new trustees will also have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • ·         marketing, public relations and communication,
  • ·         social enterprise,
  • ·         demonstrable governance experience,
  • ·         commercial or employment law,
  • ·         strategy development and implementation,
  • ·         health and disability sector knowledge, with a leaning towards mental health,
  • ·         regionally based, and willing to travel or use technology to attend meetings,
  • ·         networking and relationship building.

Diversity is valued on our board and we welcome applications from all sections of our community.

You will be expected to contribute approximately 2 hours of your time every six weeks to attend board meetings, plus preparation time and occasionally other tasks will be requested of you.

For consideration please email  Progress to Health your CV and a covering letter, including what you believe you can offer Progress to Health.  For an informal discussion about the role of trustee, contact the chairperson on 027 575 4579

Applications close 30th April 2019.
